St. Louis Cardinals 1B Matt Adams has been activated from the 15-Day DL prior to the series with the Cincinnati Reds.

He was placed on the DL, August 10, due to right shoulder inflammation. Adams bats left-handed, but throws from the right. Prior to his stint on the DL, in 95 games he held a .249 BA/12 HR/44 RBI. He has spent a great deal of his time this season coming off the bench, as 1B/OF Brandon Moss has stepped up his offense game with a .261 BA/25 HR/61 RBI with 57 runs. Now that we are officially in the month of September, he will be part of the "allowed" roster expansion. I'm presuming his is on his way to Cincinnati. However, further details will be forthcoming from the Cardinals organization.

During Adams' rehab with the Memphis Triple-A Redbirds, he made five game appearances, .188 BA/1 HR/1-2B.
